Legislation & Additional Information
EC legislation, Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 and AOP (Association of Optometrists) recommendations have placed responsibility with the employer to provide;

  • A full eye examinations for employees commencing work with VDUs.
  • Regular eye checks thereafter.
  • Basic VDU Spectacles if required.
  • Prescription safety eye wear if the working environment so requires.

VDU Eyewear
As qualified optometrists we are aware that VDU users have different visual requirements to non-users. The information gathered in the course of the eye examination allied with our experience means that we can offer comprehensive advice to your employees.
